Halloween Festival, Witch Wines, Dickens Christmas Fayre...
- Pendle Halloween Festival – RVC’s Halloween festival is fast approaching, and once again a fun packed day awaits. In addition to Stone the Crows Border Morris dancers who will be performing at regular intervals throughout the afternoon, there will be a pumpkin carving contest, fancy dress competition, hot food and a licenced bar. If you fancy a break from all the excitement then take a stroll through the village and have a look at the all the Scary Scarecrows being displayed. So come along to the Roughlee Village Centre from 11am and join in the ghoulish goings on!
Roughlee Villagers don’t forget to get your spooky scarecrows and grisly displays up and ready for the judging of the Scary Scarecrows Exhibition on 29th October. There is a £50 voucher up for grabs for the best one.
- Witch Wines – Once again RVC are delighted to be hosting Witch Wines on Saturday 4th November from 7.30pm at the Roughlee Village Centre. Some excellent wines will be offered for tasting, some delicious cheese and other nibbles and the now infamous “Play Your Cheese Right” will be making a comeback. Tickets are £15 and include food and wine tasting, and as they always get sold out for this event get yours early from Glen on 07849 774438.
- Dickens Christmas Fayre – RVC & the Bay Horse will be getting in the Christmas Spirit on Friday 1st December as the much loved Dickens Christmas Fayre returns to Roughlee. Festivities kick off at 3pm, and will include Craft and Artisan Food stalls, Santa in his Grotto, hot food, entertainment and turning on the Christmas Lights outside the Bay Horse. So get wrapped up and come and join us for a glass of mulled wine and bit of carol singing round the tree.
