- Pendle Forest History Group – Wed 20th March, 7.30pm at Barley Village Hall – A presentation by Lavinia Tod – “Seven Robert Peels – Rise and Fall: farmer, millionaire, prime minister, gambler, thief, car salesman and sailor”. Members £2.00, Visitors £3.00. Email →
- Pendle Patchers – 12th & 26th March, from 1pm at Barley Village Hall – February Patchers meetings have seen an overemphasis on food (Pancake day and our annual Jacob’s Join) so we are getting down to serious patching and knitting in March. Also, full disclosure, the beautiful wall hanging that has appeared in the Terrace Room at the Village Hall is not the work of our group. If any novice patchers or knitters have been put off coming to Patchers after seeing that and believe they haven’t got the requisite skills, please come along to see us. For any further information about the group, contact Gil Beeke on 01282 602449 / Email →
