– What is ‘We believe…’?
‘We believe…’ is a 6-part series that explores the Nicaean Creed and the key teachings of the church.
This year marks 1700 years since the council of Nicea gave us the Nicene Creed. This creed has faithfully given us the core of what it is to be a Christian. Throughout October we will explore in our services this foundational teaching and how it continues to frame what we believe as Christians today.
Accompanying our exploration of the creed during Sunday services, there is also an 8-week course called ‘Christianity Explored’ starting on 1st October at St Thomas’, 7:30-9pm. All welcome. Pudding and drinks available from 7pm.
– What’s happening at the Community Wellbeing event?
This new event will focus on supporting the spiritual, mental, and physical health of our community – encouraging discussion, access to practical support and opportunities to connect with others.
Supporting partners joining us on the day will include Up and Active, Christians against Poverty, Jonathan Hinder MP, Young Farmers, and local community police representation.
The needs of rural communities are often overlooked by local authorities and third sector organisations. Our Community Wellbeing day aims to be a hub and a gathering to bring together key services, councillors, our MP and local police to listen to the concerns and the opportunities there are in our area. Come along to talk and engage and find fresh ideas for meeting the challenges we face.
