May 2026 Services
03.05.26 – 9:30am – Our Annual Church Meeting
Our Service will also be a meeting to consider the life of the church and our charity responsibilities for the year ending 2025.
10.05.26 – 9:30am – Holy Communion
Vicar Nick will lead our service as we continue our series ‘Resurrection Matters’, looking at the post resurrection encounters with Jesus in the New Testament.
14.05.26 – 7pm – Ascension Day Service
To mark the ascension of Jesus (His return to heaven) we will hold a short evening service to reflect on how Jesus in heaven encourages us now.
17.05.26 – 9:30am – Holy Communion
We consider Jesus’s final instructions to his disciples and how these instructions relate to us today.
24.05.26 – 11am St Thomas Church Barrowford – Pentecost Service
We meet as one church today to mark Pentecost – the day God’s Holy Spirit came on the church and continues to work in the lives of Christians.
24.05.26 – 4pm – Family Service
For those unable to get to Barrowford there will be a service at 4pm for Pentecost. This will be a relaxed and informal service for all ages.
31.05.26 – 9:30am – Holy Communion – Trinity Sunday
A service to mark the Christian faith’s worship of God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and how the unity of the Trinity works for us and for our salvation.
Everyone is welcome to our services. You don’t have to be a Christian to come to church, all our services aim to deepen our understanding of our faith and explore how we live out the Christian hope. As a church we are grateful to continue to be a presence in Newchurch and are thankful to all who love the church building.
