Events in Barley: Nov 2023

  • Pendle Forest History Group – Wed 15th November, 7.30pm at Barley Village Hall – A presentation by Steve Ragnall on “James King of Clitheroe”. James King sailed with Captain Cook on his final voyage and recorded the official version of his death. Members £2.00, Visitors £3.00. Email →
  • Barley Chapel table tennis club (adults) – Tuesdays 7 to 9pm. Just come along
  • Pendle Patchers – 14th & 28th Nov, from 1pm at Barley Village Hall – Pendle Patchers are continuing to enjoy meeting up twice a month and to see how we’re all doing with our various projects. This month Jenny revealed her almost finished quilt, just the edge binding to go. It’s a really beautiful piece of work and just right for snuggling under during the winter. Our next meetings in November will be at Barley Village Hall on Tuesdays 14th and 28th from 1.00pm onwards.   • Barley WI – 1st Wed of the month, 7.30pm at Barley Village Hall – a great age span from 20 somethings to 80 somethings so ladies please come along and spend an evening with us. Our next meeting is Wed 1st November, and the theme of the evening is Christmas crafts. If you would like to discover more and join us visitors are always welcome.

  • Coffee and Chat – 2nd Wed of each month, 10am-12pm at Barley Village Hall – All welcome, not just the old folk – £2 gets coffee (or tea) and cake!
