- 1st Dec, from 3pm: Roughlee’s Dickensian Christmas Fayre – A Festive Delight Returns
As the Christmas season approaches, Roughlee Village Centre is gearing up for a magical celebration with the much-awaited return of the Dickensian Christmas Fayre. This event promises to be filled with festive cheer, so mark your calendars for Friday, December 1st, as the village transforms into a festive wonderland, starting at 3pm. There will be craft and artisan stalls, each offering unique treasures perfect for gifting or indulging yourself. The delicious aromas of hot food and festive beverages will tempt and delight, and Santa will be in his grotto waiting to hear your Christmas wishes and make sure you’ve been good this year. The highlight of the evening will the lighting of the Christmas tree outside the Bay Horse, and the singing of carols around the tree. The festive season might be over, but the magic continues in Roughlee as January arrives with a flurry of excitement — Panto season has officially begun! The Village Centre Committee proudly presents their inaugural pantomime production of the timeless classic, Cinderella. This production brings together local talent, community spirit, and boundless enthusiasm.Don’t miss your chance to be part of this, secure your seats for the performances on Friday, January 12th at 7pm and Saturday, January 13th, with a matinee at 2pm followed by an evening performance at 7pm.
