Fundraising, Diwali, School Council, Rotakids...
Thank you Friends of Newchurch and Zilpah at EQ Woman for organising the amazing Fashion Show and the continued support of our school. Also thank you to Anthony Dawson Real Estate for sponsoring the event and the Pendle Inn for hosting. So far they have raised £1491!
St Mary’s had a fantastic time raising money for Children in Need, the children and staff came to school in crazy clothes and facepaints. Parents were also invited to join the fun and dress up for Celebration Assembly. In total the school raised £124.69.
The Yr 3 and Yr 4 children have been participating in the school Athletics and have really enjoyed learning new sports and taking part in activities with children in other schools.
The children have been busy making Diya lamps and they have really enjoyed learning about Diwali.
A new School Council has been appointed and the children have been working on a new behaviour policy for the school, they have worked extremely hard.
Earlier this year our Rotakids met with the members of the Padiham Rotary, who informed the children that this Christmas they would be having a Christmas Shoebox Appeal for the local woman’s Refuge. Our children thought this was a fabulous idea, providing presents on Christmas Day for those who are much less fortunate than themselves. The school have already received a number of shoeboxes to donate and we are very proud of the children for implementing this.
Finally the children are all looking forward to Christmas and the exciting activities the school have planned.
