Spring has sprung and Friends of Roughlee Appearance (FORA) will be hosting a fun Beetle Drive on Saturday 27th April from 7.30pm at Roughlee Village Centre. Tickets are £10pp and available from Chris & Steve Worrell at 1 Old Hall Close or on 07924 947003 (closing date Wed 24th April). The event is BYO drinks and glasses but the ticket price does include a delicious pie and pea supper. Definitely not one to be missed!
7-9th June sees the return of the Music, Beer & Gin festival. With delicious food, hand pulled beer, artisan gins and live music. Make sure you pop the date in your diary.
- Photo Competition
Each year the Committee runs a photo competition involving fantastic shots of our local area. In March we held the “Photograph of the Year 2023” presentation evening at the Bay Horse Inn where each of the 2023 winners were presented with copies of their winning monthly entries and the winner of the “Photo of the Year” prize received a £50 voucher for the Bay Horse. Richard Knightley was the winner with his photo of a magnificent winter sunset over the mill pond in Roughlee.
