Goldshaw Booth Parish Council

Xmas Lights, Santa and KELP...

It’s so good to see the community coming together in so many ways over both December and all of 2024. I’m sure we would all want to offer up a big thank you to all those involved throughout this year and in particular this month in the set up and switch on of the lights, the visit of Santa, the provision of the food, drink and tombola in the church and the arranging and distributing of biscuits to our senior residents.

I’m sure that everyone will agree that the decorations in each of the villages look magnificent. Santa was kept very busy with so many children waiting to see him and for the rest of us, getting out of the cold and into the church after the singing of the carols was much appreciated.

January’s Parish Council meeting will see a representative of Lancashire Archives visiting to talk about the Keeping Lancashire in the Picture project. The meeting will start with this talk at 7PM in St Mary’s Church. Please come along to see what this is all about and how you can join in.

Finally, our Parish Councillors send their best wishes to everyone and hope that you all have an enjoyable Christmas and a very happy New Year.
