Jazz in the Village (9 July)...
We have some culture appearing at centre on Thursday 9th July, a great duo will be performing JAZZ. The well known Ian Miller on saxophone and Dominic Spencer on piano are on a UK wide villages tour and we are very lucky to be allowed a slot on a busy schedule of dates. This event is a bring your own drink and glass – we include a choice of steak Canadian or vegetarian lasagne (must state which option on booking / paying for tickets) for the price of £15. Our June beer and Music Festival was busy and popular as usual. I would like to thank all sponsors, volunteers and people that attended to raise funds for Derian House Children’s Hospice and the RVC.
The centre will see the start and the revamp of our outside area in July with the raised beds, bug beastie box, bird boxes and feeders to be installed. The Boules court will also be completed at the same time as will the the cutting down and removal of trees with ash dieback disease, that is affecting around 12 trees on our riverside bank.
The table tennis nights will be starting in July and times etc will be posted on notice board and website in the next week.
