A poll for the election of a Member of Parliament for the Pendle and Clitheroe Constituency will be held on Thursday 4 July 2024, between the hours of 7am and 10pm.

These are a requirement to ensure that children can safely move around the playground outside of the range of the three sets of swings. We lost a week waiting for the contractor to be available then the works were further delayed due to inclement weather. The footway works have proved challenging due to limited widths and resolving level issues but the works are …
[ READ MORE → ]Despite the inclement weather, it has been a joy to see so many residents turn out this last month, to tidy up the villages. The big team effort with the weeding, strimming, planting and cleaning has really paid off and huge thanks to everyone. As well as showing off our picturesque surroundings to their full potential, it also brings people together for conversation and friendship.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that Stephen Mahon from Newchurch is newly recruited to GBPC. With boundless energy and positivity, he is already making an impact and has launched the new Goldshaw Booth WhatsApp Group. We still have two …

Roughlee Village Centre Committee would like to thank everyone who attended or worked at the highly successful Beer, Gin and Music Festival. Camra members on block agreed it is the finest of it type anywhere local. The event not only boosts the centre’s funds but was supporting our efforts to make money for Derian House Childrens Hospice and local business came forward in numbers to boost that total.
The next event at the centre is a Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser on Friday 12th July including quiz and pie and pea supper. Tickets are required and can be obtained at tonight’s Roughlee Parish Gathering or from Glen …

▼ “This photograph is taken the ridge of land between Cross Lane and Ogden Clough stream. The row of buildings in the foreground are Barley Green, which appear on the 1st edition of the Ordnance Survey 6″ maps from the 1840’s. Beyond the barn is a row of modern houses called the Bullion. These appear on a 1994 Ordnance Survey map.”
